If you can’t find good prospects in your warm market, why not try your cold market? Some of the ideas that I’ve heard are things like cold calling, handing out flyers, collecting business cards from bulletin boards, or even advertising. They all sound like they would just come down to a numbers game. Go through enough numbers, and you’ll find some distributors. Well, there’s a catch.
First of all, you still haven’t targeted the market. You’re putting it out there to everyone, not just those who want what you have. Second, you will be spending a lot of time, and perhaps even a lot of money. Think back to duplication. Do most people have the time to do this? Can most people afford advertising? Even if you can do it, it will be hard to get your downline to copy you. After all, how many flyers can fit on that bulletin board at your local supermarket?
Compared to friends and family, this is a better approach, but it is still difficult to duplicate. It’s much better to use an approach that is more time effective, and one that will work for most people. What you really need are leads. Not just any leads, but targeted network marketing leads. People who want a home based business. So let’s take a look at some ways to get leads.
